The Nationwide Gravesite Locator includes burial records from many sources. These sources provide varied data; some searches may contain less information than others. Information on veterans buried in private cemeteries was collected for the purpose of furnishing government grave markers, and we do not have information available for burials prior to 1997."

From the Illinois State Archives, these databases cover all veterans from Illinois who participated in America's wars from the War of 1812 to the Spanish-American War. Included on this site is the Database of the 1929 Illinois Roll of Honor, which is a list of burial places of military veterans buried in Illinois as of 1929.
As of September 2006, 191,400 objects in the Society's collections have been added to the Visual Resources Database. 127,620 of those entered have a corresponding digital image. The following collection areas have been entered:
-Photographs: All photographs of places and subjects plus portraits of some of Minnesota's most prominent citizens. We are now entering portraits alphabetically by the individual's last name, beginning with the letter A.
-Art: Approximately 95% of all the artwork in the collection.
-Posters: All posters in the Society's collection.
-Fine Art Photographs: All of the fine art photographs in the collection.
The North Dakota Department of Health Division of Vital Records has made its state-wide Death Index available for public searching on the Web. The index will allow you to search for names and order certified copies of a death certificate if you wish.
