The HCL is the centre for historical information and activities in Leeuwarden. Our organization, the former Leeuwarden Municipal Archives, preserves the archives and collections of Leeuwarden from the late medieval times up to the present. Apart from the archives, the HCL also has a large historical library and a huge image collection
